Hello. I’m Eduardo Balestra

your co-creator

BUT NOW THAT WE’re ABOUT TO BECOME PARTNERS, CALL ME EDU :)

I’m an award-winning creative director, copywriter, content creator and comedian. And sometimes people call me another word that starts with “C”. Can you guess?

Yup, charismatic.

See, my job is to break expectation, increase the attention span (for the sake of the world’s mental health) and make people give a damn about what you have to say.

Sounds easy, right? But the truth is that amongst this sea of information, mediocrity and now AI, it takes more than what pseudo-experts call “content”. It takes bravery, simplicity and insight.

I don’t do formulas.

I don’t do courses.

I don’t do BS.

But dude, do I do ideas.

For the past 16 years I’ve been working for and with the greatest agencies in the world, coming up with ideas for brands like Volkswagen, Burger King, Amazon, Lipton, Persil, smart, BMW, Desperados - and also directly with tech companies like Gorillas, Shopify and GetYourGuide.

I’ve lived in different cities, countries and continentes, I’ve absorbed from the brightest minds in the creative industry, I’ve taught (and learned from) students from the most prestigious ad school in the planet and I’ve won pitches for local and global businesses as well as many international awards.

And the best part: I didn’t lose any hair. Because I work with passion, collaboration and hunger to make the most of every project - and never stop learning from the process.

My favourite brief is always the next one. If we’re aligned on values, of course. Then I pour my heart, soul and mind into it. Oh, and fingers too - after all, someone has to craft the sh*t out of these ideas (and it’s not gonna be ChatGPT).

Say hello If you’re ready to create content people will actually comment on.

And stay excited. Because as you can see in my work, I do a lot of stuff, except boring.

CREATE ADS YOU WOULDn’T SKIP

THE CO-CREATion APPROACH

“WAIT, DO I NEED TO GET CREATIVE TOO?”

First of all, if you run a business, a brand, a department or a social page, you don’t need to “get” creative. You already are. Hands down.

Creativity is our human nature and it expresses in many ways. As someone who loves discovering new skills, I can naturally identify that in others too.

My job is to turn your creativity into simple stories that make people FEEL something, before throwing information about your product that they wouldn’t be open to otherwise.

(And that’s how we sell, convert and hit KPIs. Which isn’t much of a secret).

My approach goes like this:

I will bring you onboard at the start of an idea. First, I will share a simple insight, an observation, a pattern. Then, once I collected your thoughts, vision and worries, I will work my magic and deliver a flawless idea you can’t say “no” to.

(Because you will realise it’s also yours - but most importantly: exactly what you need).

Then, we go into production. And that’s when the real fun begins.

MAKE CONTENT THAT MAKES YOUR CFO CONTENT

Gorillas World Vegan Day

For the groceries-delivery app, Gorillas, I shared with the team that people on a plant-based diet often feel pressured to “explain themselves” when they dine out in a group.

Which resonates with every single vegan in the world, no wonder this piece - which what was meant to be just an “Insta Stories” - became the best performing ad for the brand, increasing the sales of vegan products in the app like never before.

A Crypto Bro in Piracanga

Centro Unah is the retreat centre that runs an ecovillage in Brazil called Piracanga. I suggested making a reel showing the place through the lenses of a “Crypto Bro”.

When I shared them the script on the next day, they instantly arranged a team to capture all the footage.

The reel went live and the response was unanimous. Ninety thousand views, thousands of likes and shares, hundreds of positive comments. And a couple of haters who won’t visit Piracanga because they sell no beer.

Seems like the reel did its job.

The more limitations, the better

We all love big productions. But let’s get real, It’s not every day we have the budget for that.

The good news is that working with stricter requirements is where I thrive the most.

I like to welcome the limitations into the creative process, coming up with ideas that rely less on expensive budgets and more on my own skill set (which include ideating, writing, directing, acting and editing) or my incredibly talented network that can take the production value to the next level.

These are ads I created with partners I trust to deliver budget-friendly excellence.

For the groceries-delivery app, Gorillas, we fast-forwarded pre-rolls ads to show how fast they deliver.

For Project Tres, we portrayed in a touching way the reality of many woman who can only count on an NGO that exists precisely to support them.

Still for Gorillas, on Valentine’s Day, we subverted the cliche of a couple who met in a supermarket, and shared the negative side of it.

From daily to daring.

Daily content doesn’t need to be boring.

If anything, I love giving the “ordinary” my own “extra”.

I dare to believe that every piece of communication is an opportunity to make something great.

So if you need daily content where “you can’t dare” too much, the least we can do is make it charming, sweet and authentic to your brand.

Now, if you are up for daring stuff, work that gets your brand in the map and stands out from the crowd, you definitely came to the right place - as I’m a bit of a misfit myself. And I happen to know a lot of likeminded people keen to produce that type of work for a price you can afford.

Here, examples of “daily” and “daring” work I created for the same brand, proving that whatever tonality, brief or message, a good idea will always have a spot in your content..

Who are you?

  • You have a bold vision and you want to make creative work that lives up to it - one that builds a brand and sells at the same time.

Some agencies are great at that. I know… I've been lucky enough to work in many of those.

But holy f*ck, do they cost money.

With the network I built after 15 years working in Europe and the Americas, for agencies and startups, I can solve your brief with original concepts and fully fleshed out campaigns, build an in-house team for either long term or specific projects and take care of the production until final delivery.

    The best part?

All at a cost that would barely cover the hourly fee of an agency meeting with 12 people where you don’t even understand the job title of probably 9 of them.

Like the idea of simplifying things?

    I thought so.

  • Why hire an expensive agency that will end up hiring me as a freelancer to create the work?

    Let’s cut the middle(ad)man.

With far less people involved and absolutely no politics, the quality and turnaround of the work we’ll create together will blow your mind.

I don’t choose between quality and quantity. I do both.

With 15 years experience across top agencies around the world, I will always make sure the brief is solved in different ways (but with the same creative parameters) - so you can go for what is truly aligned with your vision.

Or gut. If you have that.

  • You run your own show.

You have a product or a service that you put your heart and soul into. And now you need to position yourself and/or create original content that bring more customers in.

BUT you are not sure where to start.

    Well, you already started.

Together, we’ll define your strategy and find simple ways to come across important aspects of your business, in a way that connects with your audience, standing out from the “more of the sameness” out there.

I can create the content for you, sure. But the best part is that the process will teach you how to become a creator yourself in the mid-term - if you wish so - turning any self-limiting beliefs into creative tools where you can run your business and your brand in a seamless way.

  • You are a therapist, a yoga teacher, a relationship coach, a breathwork instructor or any other professional who helps others find better balance in life.

I’m sure you will agree that your social media is no different than your inner child, it needs attention.

On my 1on1, I share tips and my creative process, but we also brainstorm and find solutions together.

Ultimately, I will make sure you have solid ideas and a few ways to get things going - content to connect with your audience that YOU can produce using your natural skills - even if you think you have none.

In fact, if that’s the case, the process will help you overcome that very self-limiting belief.

After consulting with me, you will know how to turn your “raw information” into concise and relevant content that people will enjoy, using ideas that are unique to you and that you can replicate in the long run, without having to come up with something new at every post.

On top of that - if you like - you get to be featured in my own comedy content, where I will promote you myself (once we have our values aligned, of course)

Coming up with ideas is my gift.

Let me help you get the value you deserve for yours.

Excited?

Whatever you have in mind, feel free to share.

Your first thoughts. Your plans. Your vision. Your ambition. Your frustration.

It all counts.

That’s how we start co-creating the answer for what brought you here in the first place.
